Northern National Trucking (NNT), located in Clear Lake, Iowa, is seeking a Class A CDL OTR Driver to join our professional driving team. This position is responsible for safely transporting products over longer distances while representing NNT with professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.

Schedule
· Over-the-road routes typically require drivers to be OTR for 3–5 days at a time, depending on customer needs, delivery schedules, and business demands.
· Drivers are typically home most weekends, based on route assignments and business needs.
· Routes are planned and communicated in advance whenever possible.
· Schedule may vary during peak season based on delivery volume and customer needs.
Responsibilities
· Safely transport products over longer distances to dealer, customer, and distribution locations.
· Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company requirements.
· Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely and accurately.
· Maintain accurate logs, trip documentation, delivery records, mileage, and expense information.
· Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members throughout each trip.
· Follow all DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, traffic laws, and company safety standards.
· Plan routes effectively and manage time to meet delivery schedules.
· Represent Northern National Trucking professionally at customer and dealer locations.
· Report vehicle concerns, delivery issues, accidents, freight damage, or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
Required
· Valid Class A CDL
· Valid DOT Medical Card
· Clean driving record
· Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
· Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening
· Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements are required for this position and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
· Ability to travel overnight and remain OTR for 3–5 days at a time as required by route assignments.
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management abilities
· Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with dispatch and the team
Preferred
· Commercial driving experience preferred
· OTR or regional driving experience preferred
· Experience hauling agricultural or manufacturing products preferred

Compensation
This position is paid hourly. Hours worked over 40 in a workweek are considered overtime and paid at time and a half.
